The second generation Camaro includes Camaros from 1970 to 1981.
The 1970 Camaro was a mid-year introduction that went on sale on February 26, 1970.
The 1970 Camaro used a newly designed front suspension with different dimensions from the earlier first generation Camaros. It used the independent short and long arm suspension with front coil springs and multi-leaf rear springs. It had a semi-unitized body like the first generation Camaro. It rode on a wheelbase of 108". This basic chassis remained the same through the 1981 model year.
